The Swamp King of Africa – The Biggest Crocs Ever Recorded

Gustave is the name of a “water monster” of the Nile crocodile family. It has a weight of 907 kg with a length from head to tail of 5.1 meters. Gustave is estimated to be over 70 years old and weighs around 1 ton. He is the largest confirmed crocodile ever seen in Africa. Its homeland is the Republic of Burundi in East Africa.

The crocodile Gustave is considered by the natives to be a real beast. It is also the largest crocodile on the continent, having eaten many people. The natives believe that Gustave attacked and plagued at least 300 people along the banks of the Ruzizi River and Lake Tanganyika.

Gustave is a large male nile crocodile located in Burundi. He is one of the most feared crocs in existence, and locals estimate that he has killed nearly 300 humans on the banks of the Ruzizi River and the shores of Lake Tanganyika.

Local newspapers once wrote that this “beast” was both ferocious and cunning. Its strategy is to attack, eat a few people in a certain area, then suddenly disappear and only appear in other areas to hunt after a certain time.

Gustave is said to be 100 years old, but still has sharp teeth like those of a young crocodile. Its jaws have attacked many animals and even eaten local people.

Scientists claim that his enormous size makes it difficult to hunt species that nile crocs usually prey upon such as fish, antelope, and zebra. Instead, he attacks large wildebeest, hippos, and humans.
